This biblical and legendary mountain is very suitable for skiing and it is possible to ski between the campsites and even from the summit. The snow filled tracks on the mountain make for great skiing from the summit all the way down to 2000 meters. Winter snows often accumulate to well below this saddle, and even sometimes as low as Dogubayazit at 5600 ft (1700 m), providing numerous possibilities for spectacular and lengthy ski descents. Its an exciting to think about the possibility of ski mountaineering on Ararat. With the incredible vistas from the mountain you are sure to get the greatest pleasure from your ski descent over thousands of meters.

Climbing permit:
Ararat is in a second degree military zone. Because of Ararat’s location all foreign climbers who want to climb need to get a climbing permission by the agencies before they come. The permit fee per person is $70 Dollars. On completion the permit fee is transferred to Agri Governor`s bank account by the agency.

Accommodation:
In Van, Ahlat and Dogubeyazit clients stay in 3 stars hotels which are located in the centres of the cities.
High quality tents are used at the camps

Meals in cities:
In cities high quality restaurants are used. The menus have traditional Turkish cuisine and vegetarian options, as well as desserts and seasonal fruits.

Food on the Mountain:
Meal is prepared and served by a special cook in a dining tent.

Horse and Porter support:
We use private vehicle for road transfer. On the mountain our backpacks and camping stuff will be carried by the horses until 1.Camp. After here our luggages carried by porters until 3750m camp. Possibble to leave your extra clothes or other stuff in our safe room in the hotel Dogubeyazit.

Leadership Guiding:
Our guides have Mountain Guide certificates from the Turkish Mountaineering Federation. It is necessary to have a licensed mountain guide to climb Mt.Ararat. Our guides have extensive experience on the mountains. They have led many groups and will lead you to the summit with the best experience.
